Υποτροφία από το Σύλλογο Ηπειρωτών της Ουάσιγκτον (ΗΠΑ)

Ο Σύλλογος Ηπειρωτών της Ουάσιγκτον (ΗΠΑ) προσφέρει μια υποτροφία σε νεαρό φοιτητή ή υποψήφιο, σε ανώτατο αναγνωρισμένο ίδρυμα τριτοβάθμιας εκπαίδευσης. Βασική προϋπόθεση είναι η καταγωγή από την Ήπειρο (Βόρεια ή Νότια). Απαραίτητες είναι επίσης οι πολύ καλές ακαδημαϊκές επιδόσεις. Επιπρόσθετα οι υποψήφιοι θα πρέπει να προσκομίσουν συστατική επιστολή από έναν καθηγητή τους και από έναν κληρικό της ορθόδοξης εκκλησίας. Τέλος, οι ενδιαφερόμενοι θα πρέπει να συντάξουν ένα μικρό κείμενο έως 1000 λέξεις με θέμα σχετικό με την Ήπειρο. Οι συμπληρωμένες αιτήσεις θα πρέπει να ληφθούν μέχρι τις 30 Απριλίου 2008 στην παρακάτω διεύθυνση:

The Epirotic Society of Greater Washington is pleased to announce the offering of a scholarship to persons attending or contemplating enrollment in an accredited institution of Higher Education. This is a competitive academic scholarship and is open to those who can prove that they are from Epirus or are descendants of persons from Epirus (both Northern and Greek Epirus). Additionally, candidates must submit evidence of academic performance along with a letter of recommendation from a former teacher and one from a local Orthodox parish priest. Finally, persons interested in applying for this scholarship must write a Thousand (1,000) words essay on a topic related to Epirus. In order for an application to be considered, it must be received by April 30, 2008. Successful applicants will be notified via U.S. Mail as to the date, place and time of award.
