The main goal of the Youth Festival is:

To assist young people from Turkey and European states in the achievement of their aspirations to get to know each other, to exchange information, to expand the network of contacts in various fields related to their interests and problems, skills, and opportunities for participation and collaboration.

It is motivated by the fact that:
· young people are the cornerstone of positive changes;
· through their joint efforts, they will build up World with no frontiers;
· the youth will be the ones to build up the future!

The involvement of the young people with the problems of the world and the instigation of their activity gives entirely new approach while solving the problems. The Youth Festival is the biggest forum of “The World Youth” for the integration of the young people from the countries, where the disagreement is a basis of their relationships.

The 1th Youth Festival has set itself the following aims:

By means of youth participation in a dynamic intercultural exchange on the Europe :
· to overcome age-old prejudices and accumulated negative attitudes in everyday life;
· to acquaint young people with cultural traditions and customs, as well as a variety of modern forms of art presentation;
· to enrich the broad network of existing contacts and thus, enable future partnerships.

FESTIVAL
¨ Intercultural exchange

* Festival Defile of all guests and hosts - on the first day of the festival in the central streets of the town;
* Festival Concerts – Festival performances in Balcova-Ýzmir. Participants: folk ensembles and individual performers from ) Izmir and other European countries, musicians and dancers of traditional and modern pieces, 200 young people, 100 from foreign countries.




* Festival Competitions:
* The Best Pop Singer Competition. During two nights of the festival.



* Special Festival Moments Photography Competition “All different, but not indifferent”, open to every participant and guest of the festival. The competition is during the first four days of the festival. Special jury will elect the winner. The prize is from the special sponsor of the festival;




* Youth Party– during two of the nights;
* Stage for Contemporary Street Art – continuation 4 days. It will take place at a stage near the main park alley. Participants: break dancers, juggling groups, graffiti and action painters, etc…
* Exhibition with art works from Turkey and foreign painters;
* Picnic – the event will take place in the area around Balcova with all participants and guests of the festival and will include:
* Official meeting of all representatives of the delegations and participants with the Mayor of Balçova.
* Trip to seaside- There will be trip to seaside and all participant will have opportunity to have swimming time.




We would like to have music or dance groups which can make performance on the stage,

Accomodation: Student dormitory
Aged: Participants aged between 18-25 years old. Group leader can be up to 35 years old.
Groups should make dance or music performance on the stage.
With their instruments.

Financial details: 70% of the travel cost will be reimbursed. There is NO participation fee!
Accomodation has been coverd by Youth programme.
