PM Considers Greek Minority Bridge Between Albania and Greece

"You have played and still play an important and positive role in the good relations that Albania has with Greece and this is the merit of all members of the Greek community in Albania," Berisha declared

TIRANA - The Albanian Prime Minister, Sali Berisha has praised Saturday the contribution of the Greek ethnic minority in the good relation between Albania and Greece, considering the latter as the bridge that connects both countries.
\"You have played and still play an important and positive role in the good relations that Albania has with Greece and this is the merit of all members of the Greek community in Albania,\" Berisha declared.
During his \'Albania is Changing\' tour, Berisha underlined that the government is determined to continue its infrastructural investments in order to make the people's lives easier, declaring his support for the Greek minority businesses.
\"The government is going to support every project the head of your commune forward us. I am going to cooperate with your locally elected representatives so that you might have the chance of building your future here, in your homes,\" Albanian Premier said.
During his visit to Gjirokastra, the Prime Minister inspected the works for the construction of Kardhiq-Saranda highway, part of the southern axis of roads, which according to Berisha brings the southern regions of Albania closer to the capital Tirana as well as boost tourism in the region.
