Στις Βρυξέλλες η διαβούλευση για την ένταξη της Αλβανίας στην Ε.Ε.

Τα κράτη-μέλη της Ε.Ε. συμφώνησαν σήμερα να υποστηρίξουν το αίτημα της Αλβανίας για μία μελλοντική ένταξή της στους κόλπους της, εναρκτήριο βήμα προς την εισδοχή της στην ευρωπαϊκή κοινότητα, ανακοίνωσε διπλωματική πηγή.

Ο πρωθυπουργός της Αλβανίας, Σαλί Μπερίσα Ο πρωθυπουργός της Αλβανίας, Σαλί Μπερίσα Όπως τόνισε η ίδια πηγή, οι πρεσβευτές των 27 αποφάσιζαν να ζητήσουν από την εκτελεστική Ευρωπαϊκή Επιτροπή να προετοιμάσει μία αξιολόγηση για την ετοιμότητα της Αλβανίας να ξεκινήσει τις ενταξιακές διαπραγματεύσεις. Η απόφαση αναμένεται να κυρωθεί από τους ΥΠΕΞ των κρατών-μελών της Ε.Ε. κατά τη σύνοδό τους στις Βρυξέλλες την προσεχή Δευτέρα και Τρίτη.

Η Αλβανία έχει καταθέσει την αίτησή της τον Απρίλιο. Σε περίπτωση που επικυρωθεί η έναρξη των ενταξιακών διαπραγματεύσεων, η Αλβανία θα αναγκασθεί να εισάγει πολιτικές και οικονομικές μεταρρυθμίσεις σύμφωνες προς τα πρότυπα της Ε.Ε., μία διαδικασία που ενδέχεται να κρατήσει χρόνια.
