Μειώνονται οι προγραμματιστές για Windows

Σύμφωνα με την εταιρεία Evans Data που πραγματοποιεί τη σχετική έρευνα κάθε χρόνο, ο αριθμός των προγραμματιστών που αναπτύσσουν εφαρμογές για το περιβάλλον Windows μειώθηκε κατά 11% μέσα στον τελευταίο χρόνο.

Η εξέλιξη αυτή επιβεβαιώνει μια παλαιότερη τάση που είχε δείξει η ίδια έρευνα για στροφή όλο και περισσότερων προγραμματιστών προς το Linux και άλλες πλατφόρμες.

Τα Windows εξακολουθούν να κυριαρχούν στον χώρο των προγραμματιστών, καθώς το 65% των developers εξακολουθούν να αναπτύσσουν εφαρμογές για αυτή την πλατφόρμα, ενώ το Linux ακολουθεί με 12% έναντι 8% που είχε την προηγούμενη χρονιά.

Η Microsoft πάντοτε υπερηφανευόταν για τη φιλικότητά της προς τους developers και τόνιζε πως η ύπαρξη τόσο πολλών ανθρώπων που προγραμμάτιζαν για τα Windows αποτελούσε εγγύηση πως οι καλύτερες εφαρμογές θα αναπτύσσονται πάντοτε πρώτα για αυτή την πλατφόρμα. Σίγουρα λοιπόν οι τελευταίες εξελίξεις θα πρέπει να τους ανησυχήσουν.
